WHAT IS NDIS?

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support to people living with a disability, their families and carers.

The scheme aims to:

  • Give access to services such as health, housing & education
  • Involvement in community activities and social groups
  • Maintaining informal supports, such as family and friends
The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability. Early intervention supports can also be provided for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delay.

Eligibility criteria

Have a permanent and significant disability that prevents you in doing your day to day activities
Be an Australian permanent resident or citizen
